10:30am: the 1919 tour. in conjunction with the reds hall of fame & museum, the 1919 tour focuses on events and activities surrounding the controversial 1919 world series, which pitted the reds against chicago white sox and is associated with the “black sox” gambling scandal. the walking tour visits locations where the scandal unfolded and examines the cast of characters involved in the infamous event. fountain square. $20. >>

4pm: nsyc 1st annual luau pig roast & dance party. join us for an all day, outdoor pig roast. we’re excited to prepare a berkshire hog, a heritage breed of extreme quality, fed locally his entire life in a family farm belonging to stuart’s uncle martin. raised by stuart’s cousin henry in a woodlot with ample access to vegetation, worm nuts and whatever else he could find. we’ll have leis, live hawaiian music provided by the midwestern swing from 6-9 and a surf tiki beach party bingo dance party to follow. feel free to dress the part! nsyc. free. >>

6pm: inhabitants of lore, original posters & felted woo sculpture by joe castrucci. nvision is pleased to present this exhibit of original poster designs and sculpture by cincinnati-based graphic artist/videographer joe castrucci. this is his first exhibition. additionally, the video premier of future islands, also created by joe castrucci, will take place next door at the comet, looped all night long. nvision. free. >>
